“The technology itself is not transformative. It’s the school, the pedagogy, that is transformative.” – Tanya Byron.
Anuta Networks is dedicated to helping its customers succeed in the modern networking era. Our solutions enable customers to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and accelerate innovation. In delivering these capabilities, we help our customers focus on their core business rather than the underlying network infrastructure.
As our company winds down another year and prepares for Thanksgiving, we celebrate our good fortune by helping the less fortunate. Anuta Networks has been actively involved in various social initiatives, such as providing water purifiers, lunch plates, storage water tanks, blankets & ear caps, study kits, sanitary pads, and other personal care and hygiene items to many underprivileged students in India. We also recognize the challenges associated with climate change and are proud to partner with NKC Seva Samithi, Dharmavaram, in India, to organize collection and funding drives.
More About NKC (N- Nature, K- Knowledge, and C- Caring) Seva Samithi
District Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh is a region in India that receives the second lowest rainfall. A lack of proper irrigation projects and yearly droughts place undue hardships on, ranging from debts to socioeconomic problems. In time, people have realized that initiatives in agricultural technology supplemented with education might solve these challenges and improve their children’s lives through improved crop yields. To address the need, Bhagavan Sri Satya Saibaba and Father Vincent Ferrer took up the cause and started social service organizations to address the distress in Anantpur. Motivated by the change in people’s lives, these organizations’ efforts were extended to other parts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, and Karnataka, and “NKC Seva Samithi” was formed.
Mr. Neelaiagari Kamalnath started the “NKC Seva Samithi” effort in 2006 to assist and awaken people’s consciousness regarding social distress. Through this organization, he conducts ongoing social welfare programs such as village development, education, health service access, environmental protection efforts, and more.
Anuta’s Thanksgiving Social Campaign
The campaign covers five schools:
- Two Bhavitha schools that support children with disabilities
- Three KGBV schools
Bhavitha School
When a school practices inclusive education, all its students—regardless of their individual needs or strengths—become integral members of its community. ‘Sarva Siksha Abhiyan’ (“Education for all Campaign”), launched by The Government of Andhra Pradesh, believes that children with disabilities must be educated in general education classes and is dedicated to achieving this goal by adhering to the inclusionary approach when implementing programs for children with special needs. Bhavitha School was established in 2011, over a decade ago, to serve this vital effort and vision.
An Endeavour to bring smiles to the students
The Anuta Network’s team recently distributed play materials to what we prefer to refer to as “specially-abled” kids for Thanksgiving 2022. “We are proud to support the schools and its mission to provide quality education and rehabilitation services to disabled children,” said Mr. Uvs Ravi. Mr. Ravi is a technical lead at Anuta Networks and has been a part of the company for almost as long as the company has been established. As one of our core team members, Ravi describes his journey at Anuta– “It’s been a delightful and thrilling adventure working with Anuta to find solutions for automation-related problems. As the demand for more resilient networking increases, automation’s significance becomes increasingly clear”. He continues, “It’s wonderful to translate our company’s success into meaningful investments in these students’ lives. They value it immensely, even though it is only a modest token from the outside world”.
“Each victory we celebrate with Anuta leaves you with a wonderful sense of accomplishment,” says Mr. Vamsi Kottisa, who has been an integral part of the engineering team since 2012 at Anuta. “Each line of code we write serves as the bedrock for every service provider we work with.” He adds that it can be challenging to venture out and make new friends, given he’s an introvert. Anuta has provided the catalyst to move beyond his social anxiety to assist students, discover new things, and develop a strong sense of charity for these needy students, as the company has been highly active in such activities from the beginning. He is compassionate and feels terrible for the suffering of underprivileged pupils who are deprived of necessities. This prompts him to visit them and offer any assistance he can.
KGBV School
The government of India launched the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School in August 2004 to provide educational facilities for dropouts and young women between the ages of 10-18. The program also covers minority communities and families below the poverty line that typically do not have access to high-quality educational resources
A little effort goes a long way.
The Anuta team recently distributed sewing machines and 10th-grade-class study guides to KGBV schools in Andhra Pradesh, India, with the intention of helping young girls develop skills that will enable them to become self-sufficient now and later in life. The donation is part of Anuta Networks’ continued commitment to empowering women and girls through education and skill development. The sewing machines will enable the girls to learn a valuable trade that they can use to support themselves and their families.
“We are thrilled to be able to support the KGBV in empowering women and girls via education and skills development,” said Mr. Kotireddy Manubothu, who belongs to the engineering team at Anuta Networks. He has always had a strong desire to aid the needy and economically disadvantaged. As a result, he has consistently participated in social activities held by Anuta every year without fail to support this effort since joining the company in 2012. “We hope that the sewing machines we gift inspire the girls to pursue their aspirations and realize their full potential,” said Mr. Manubothu. “The sewing machines we donate will make a significant impact in the lives of the girls who receive them.”
The girls also made lovely origami in various sizes and forms as a token of appreciation and presented it to the Anuta team. “We are grateful to Anuta Networks for their generous donation of sewing machines and study guides to the KGBV schools,” said Mr. Kamalnath, Founder & General Secretary of NKC Seva Samithi. “Working with Anuta Networks on such events every year has always been a pleasure. We need more companies like Anuta to come forward and help create a difference in the lives of the underprivileged”.
In addition to these efforts, Anuta Networks is also participating in “Sleep Out,” a global campaign to end youth homelessness. If interested, you can learn more and participate here.
At Anuta Networks, we believe that expressing a heartfelt appreciation for everything you receive in life is paramount. And the finest way to acknowledge that attitude is by selflessly helping others without expecting anything in return.
