Anuta Networks Accelerates Network Service Delivery with True Multi-Vendor NFV

Announces NCX support for OpenStack as VIM and compliance with ETSI NFV

MILPITAS, CA – March 12, 2015 – Anuta Networks, the leading provider of network services orchestration solutions, today announced support for OpenStack Virtual Infrastructure Manager (VIM) and compliance with ETSTI NFV. The Anuta’s NCX support for OpenStack augments the existing support for VMware vCenter and ESXi hypervisors to enable true multi-vendor NFV.

More and more service providers (SPs) are relying on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), an ETSI industry specification, to achieve on-demand delivery of network services by avoiding long hardware deployment cycles. ETSI NFV supports dynamic workloads by scaling out virtual network functions (VNF) from multiple vendors using industry standard high volume servers, switches and storage infrastructures. These VNFs are developed to work with different hypervisors such as KVM, VMware ESXi, Citrix Xen and Microsoft Hyper-V.

In January 2015, Anuta’s NCX 4.0 introduced a ML2 plugin which publishes network services to OpenStack users through southbound integration.

“The combined northbound and southbound integrations with OpenStack offer unprecedented business value to our customers,” continued Srini. “Service providers will have the flexibility to use multiple vendor, physical or virtual network functions supporting multiple hypervisor platforms and integrate with OpenStack self-service frameworks.”

Product Availability:
